Fluid Intelligence
The answer, the evidence, and the next move.
Home shows yesterday against a typical day, where the month is tracking, and which reps are rising or going quiet. When a number needs explaining, Mist answers with the query behind it and the definition it used.
Live
Watch today unfold against a typical day.
The Live tab refreshes about every 15 seconds: who’s on the site, what’s selling, and which reps are sharing, measured against a normal day for this weekday.
- Four numbers, right nowVisitors now, revenue today, orders today, and reps active.
- Today against typicalCumulative revenue against the same weekday, averaged over twelve weeks.
- Orders, shares, and milestonesEach order shows the rep who sent it, and a rep’s first sale gets its own moment.
- Where the attention isTop pages and visitor locations, as they happen.
Drivers
See what’s driving the number.
Break the month down by order type, buyer, customer, and channel, with the attribution rule printed on each card so everyone reads it the same way.
- Order and buyer typeSubscription, enrollment, web, and mobile revenue, and members against retail buyers.
- Revenue qualityNew against returning revenue, and the average order for each.
- Channel economicsRevenue and revenue per visitor for seven channels, from rep shares to paid.
- Best sellers and price bandsThe month’s top ten products, and your catalog by price band.
Field
See who’s rising and who’s gone quiet.
The Field tab shows who shared or sold, who’s picking up speed, and who could use a check-in, next to a leaderboard that credits every order to the rep who sent it.
- Field momentumReps active yesterday against a typical day, active this month, and rep revenue to date.
- RisingReps whose last seven days are running at 1.5 times their usual pace or more.
- Going quietReps silent for a week or more, with the monthly revenue at risk and a link to send them a note.
- A leaderboard with contextUp to 50 reps by revenue, orders, or visitors, with each rep’s top asset.
Mist answers
Ask a question. See the query behind the answer.
Mist answers from your data and shows its work: the SQL it ran, what it cost, the rows it found, and the definition it used. Then it tells you what the rows mean.
- Answer cardsThe purpose, the SQL, a cost badge, and a preview of the rows, with Save query and Open in SQL editor.
- Definitions statedWhich order statuses counted, gross or net, refunds, time zone, and currency.
- Read-only by designMist’s database sessions can’t change data, and heavy queries are checked before they run.
- Exports when you need themCSV exports for orders, subscriptions, customers, contacts, and transactions.
Morning brief
A morning brief, ready before you are.
At six each morning, Mist reviews sales, open issues, customers, and the field, then writes a short brief you can play or read in its own chat.
- Four areas, every morningSales and orders, issues that need action, customers, and the field.
- Play it or read itAbout a minute to listen to, with three to five headlines.
- No invented numbersIf a figure isn’t available, the brief says so.
- Ask about itFollow up in the brief’s own chat, and Mist digs into whatever it raised.
On every card
Built so everyone reads the numbers the same way.
The comparisons, projections, and definitions come with the numbers, so a Monday meeting starts from the same page.
- Yesterday against a typical dayThe same weekday averaged over the last eight weeks, with the order count beside it.
- Where the month is trackingMonth-to-date revenue projected to month end at the current pace.
- An expected rangeA band built from 180 days of history, with last month or last year laid over it.
- One market at a timeA country selector scopes every card on Home to a single market.
- Definitions on the cardEach card states its attribution window, and every figure has a published definition.
- Reports on a scheduleMist can run a report on a schedule, like a monthly close on the 1st at 8am.
What it replaces
See the business, and ask about it, in one place.
Leadership teams often piece the picture together from spreadsheet exports, a separate dashboard, field activity reports, and questions queued for whoever knows SQL. In Fluid, the numbers, the field, and the answers share the same data.
Usually
- Spreadsheet exports
- A separate BI dashboard
- Field activity reports
- Ad-hoc data requests
- Morning check-ins across tools
- Yesterday against typical
- Tracking to and expected range
- The month’s economics
- Rising and going quiet
- Answers with the query attached
- A morning brief
FAQs
Questions leadership teams ask.
Every business reads its numbers a little differently. We’ll look at yours with you.
Where do the numbers come from?
From the same orders, subscriptions, visits, and reps that run your business in Fluid. Money is shown in your base currency, and each card states its attribution window.
How is “Tracking to” calculated?
It’s a straight-line projection: month-to-date revenue, carried to month end at the current pace. Fluid doesn’t compare against a plan or budget today, so you judge the month against a typical day, its expected range, last month, or last year.
How does Mist show where an answer came from?
Every data answer comes with the SQL it ran, its purpose, a cost badge, and a preview of the rows, plus the definition it used: which statuses counted, gross or net, time zone, and currency. You can save the query or open it in the SQL editor.
Can Mist change our data?
No. Mist’s database sessions are read-only, and heavy queries are checked before they run.
When does the morning brief arrive?
Mist Desktop prepares it at 6:00 AM, local to your computer, while the app is running. It waits on Mist’s Home, ready to play, and in its own chat.
Can Mist query our reporting database?
Where your company’s reporting database is switched on, yes. It’s rolling out now. Each admin connects with their own revocable credentials, and every query is tracked to the person who ran it.
